Our Contemporary Hangers are great for quilts, Southwest woven rugs and many
thinner wall hangings. But, if you are hanging a carpet that is over about
3/8" thick, or if it has a stiff backing material, the Thick Carpet
Hanger is a better choice. It is
designed for wall hangings that are up to approximately 3/4 inch thick.
Thick
Carpet Hangers work by squeezing the fabric between two pieces of wood. You
control how hard they squeeze by tightening a series of screws on the
back. The front piece of the hanger, that shows when hanging on the wall,
is
2" high. It grips about one inch of the fabric.

Thick Carpet Hangers are furniture quality hangers for your best rugs. Each is custom made in any length to
60".
They have a satin smooth finish. Standard finish colors are cherry
(above), walnut, natural or antique cherry.
Hangers are usually sized to be the same length as the top
of the rug or quilt. A bit shorter is OK, but if it is longer, the
slightly higher back piece will be visible on the ends. The
hangers have keyhole slots on the back that hang on screws in the
wall.
