Qualwood™ Southwest Hangers
Our Qualwood Southwest Hanger is designed to securely hold
and display your best wall hanging. The following suggestions may help you
install the hanger .
Installing the Screws in the Wall:
- Before you attach your wall hanging to the hanger you should locate and
install the screws that will hold the hanger to the wall
.
The hanger has keyhole slots on the back that
will hang on the heads of screws.
The type of screws used will depend on the
wall material and construction. Select screws which can be securely installed in
the wall and which have a head that fits into the keyhole slots.
To accurately locate the screws first measure the distance between the
keyhole slots. Then, mark the screw locations on the wall. Be sure the marks are
at the proper height and are level. Install a screw at each mark.
Test by installing the hanger on the screws to ensure it fits correctly.
Attaching the Qualwood Hanger to Your Wall Hanging:
- For a proper installation the top edge of your wall hanging should be
straight and perpendicular to the sides. Sometimes the fabric can be gently
stretched into shape. Other times it may be necessary to fold back a few inches
of the top to get a straight edge for the hanger to grip.
- Lay the wall hanging, face up, on a flat surface. Fold about 6 inches of
the top forward to expose the back.
- Slip the front piece of the hanger under the top edge of the fabric so
that the screw holes are just visible above the fabric. Be sure the fabric is
straight.
- Gently lay the hanger back on top of the hanger front so that the screw
holes line up and the fabric is captured between the two wood pieces.
- Carefully install the screws and tighten to securely grip the fabric.
- Check to ensure that the hanger is straight on the fabric and that the
fabric is held firmly. Hang the hanger on the screws you installed in the wall.
